Candida celebrates a significant milestone.

This month we marked the 80th birthday of our founder Klaus Girardet with celebrations both here and in New Zealand. Klaus' birthday message to staff, family and friends is included below

To Candida staff members, friends and family

To reach 80 years of age and to be quite healthy is a gift of life and should be appreciated.

In 1974 our family arrived in Auckland from Germany.  The three daughters went to school days after arrival.  We looked for a house and started Candida Publishers in 1975 to produce high quality calendars.

In 1976 the first envelopes were made and with CMSS (Candida Metric Standardisation System) we helped to rationalize office paperwork.

In 1979 Stage I of the factory/office construction started on our 3 hectare site at Constellation Drive, Mairangi Bay.  In 2008 Stage VII followed as Candida Office Park.

In 1978 the Sydney Sales Office opened and in 2008 we moved into bigger premises for future growth.

Looking back 35 years shows a remarkable development – all with the help of you.

We are a true family business and believe that it should continue into the future.

Yours

Klaus

Another century, another move.

After 5 further years of continued regular growth, the time comes to move again. This time to a brand new facility in Lidcombe. Handily located just across the Paramatta highway from Olympic Park, the location and timing is understandably very popular with staff.

In conjunction with the move Candida sets up its own in-house overprint and pre-press departments. Bringing these operations in-house provides greater quality control and improved turn around to our ever growing customer base.
